I launch SteamVR from inside Oculus app (while in VR), then from the SteamVR Library launch NMS, then after it starts, open Oculus Dash, open the desktop view and the virtual keyboard, Alt-Tab and minimize the 'dual images screen' and make the SteamVR View the focus window. #7.
